A glance at the week that was
BIG NOISE
Most of us get angry calls from neighbours when we blast the music too loud. Rock stars get a different reaction, as Bono found out when he apparently played tracks from his band's forthcoming album so loud from his holiday home in France that an eavesdropping fan nearby was able to record them. According to reports, the fan went on to post the unreleased tracks on YouTube. Though these have since been taken down, the tracks are said to continue to circulate by e-mail. Those out of the online loop will have to resort to glass-to-the-wall technology if they can't wait till the album's official release later this year.
BIGFOOT
The body of a "Bigfoot" found in the woods of the US state of Georgia has, to the consternation of Bigfoot trackers everywhere, been revealed as a rubber gorilla suit.
The revelation will be particularly disappointing for one Tom Biscardi, a Bigfoot fan who had bought the body of this legendary ape-like creature after he heard of the discovery by two men who claimed to have found it while hiking in the woods. When the 7ft 7in "corpse" was handed over, a rubber foot and synthetic hair revealed it to be a Halloween costume.
