WARSAW - A Polish court yesterday adjourned a hearing on Russia's request to extradite a former adviser to President Boris Yeltsin, saying it needed evidence that he took a bribe, PAP news agency said.
Russian prosecutors accuse Mr Sergei Stankevich of having accepted a £10,000 bribe in 1992 to allow a concert in Red Square. Mr Stankevich, detained by police in Warsaw last month on the strength of a warrant issued by Russia through Interpol, denies the charge and says he is a victim of political intrigue.
