A grenade attack today in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir has wounded 17 people.
Militants lobbed the grenade at a bus stand in Anantnag, the main town in southern Kashmir, a police spokesman said.
It was the second grenade attack of the day. Earlier, a grenade exploded in a marketplace in Shopian, also in southern Kashmir, wounding at least 25 civilians.
None of the more-than a dozen guerrilla groups who are fighting Indian rule in the Muslim-majority state have claimed responsibility for either of the blasts.
