Play had due to begin at 6.50 a.m.

Ireland’s Darren Clarke made a late decision to play the event following his victory in the European Open on Sunday.

"With the forecast not being very good you don't want to end up playing 27-holes-a-day round here.That might affect me for next week," said Clarke.

Clarke's main priority is making sure he is mentally and physically sharp for the British Open starting at Royal Lytham next Thursday.
