The President, Mrs Robinson, returned to her native Co Mayo yesterday and praised the Ballycastle community for its vibrancy

The President, Mrs Robinson, returned to her native Co Mayo yesterday and praised the Ballycastle community for its vibrancy. She was in the north Mayo village to celebrate the bicentenary of its foundation and planted a symbolic yew tree in the grounds of the parish church.

She officially opened the Ballinglen Arts Centre in the village.
