A Vietnamese policeman was left clinging for his life when a bus driver attempted to avoid a ticket at a check point outside Hanoi.

Nguyen Manh Phan of Hanoi’s traffic police ordered the driver to pull over and show his papers just outside the capital city on Monday.

However, the driver attempted to escape and Mr Phan jumped onto the front of the bus.

Mr Phan was driven for nearly one kilometre clinging onto the windshield wipers before the bus was eventually stopped by police officers.
