London - Two British environmental activists who took on McDonald's Corporation won £10,000 from London police yesterday after accusing officers of passing on confidential data about them to the US food giant. Ms Helen Steel and Mr Dave Morris, known as the "McLibel Two" for their marathon battle with the US burger chain, said the Metropolitan police had agreed to the out-of-court settlement to avoid "a difficult and lengthy trial".
