Police investigating the murder of a Co Antrim man at the weekend were today given more time to question a suspect.

Police investigating the murder of a Co Antrim man at the weekend were today given more time to question a suspect.

The 28-year-old man is being questioned at the PSNI's Serious Crime Suite in Antrim about the murder of Kenneth Nicholl in Larne. He was detained yesterday.

Mr Nicholl, also 28 and a father-of-one, died when he was stabbed numerous times.

His body was found lying in an alley between Herbert Avenue and Waterloo Road, close to his home in the town, on Sunday morning.
