One person dead in Dublin fire

A 38-year-old man has died in a house fire in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

A 38-year-old man has died in a house fire in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The fire broke out in a house on the North Circular Road at about 1.15am.

Five units from Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene and a number of nearby houses were evacuated.

Three people were taken to the Mater Hospital where the man was later pronounced dead.

A 42-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man are still recovering in hospital

Gardaí are continuing to investigate the cause of the blaze.
