OXFORD - Dons at Oxford University yesterday approved new plans for a £40 million business school, safeguarding a benefaction from a Syrian-born millionaire. Earlier plans for the school were thrown out last year, prompting Mr Wafic Said to threaten to withdraw a £20 million gift if a new home were not approved by next week.
But yesterday the university's Congregation, or parliament, accepted revised proposals by 342 votes to 55.
