Kevin Moran has confirmed that he is interested in the vacant Republic of Ireland manager's position.
Reports today suggested that the former Ireland international would come in as second in command to Leeds coach Brian Kidd should he be appointed.
But Moran this evening told TV3that he would be interested in the top job and has put his name forward for the position.
"It's always been one of the most important jobs," said the former Manchester United defender.

"As of today I have formally applied for that position," he added.
