EXTRADITION proceedings due to begin against Ms Roisin McAliskey were adjourned once again at Bow Street Magistrates' Court in London yesterday, amid continued concern over her mental and physical condition.

Ms McAliskey's supporters are increasingly concerned about the delay in extradition proceedings.Affairs, Mr Burke, over the handling of the case by the German authorities.

At a bail hearing which lasted less than five minutes, the magistrate, Mr Ronald Bartle, examined a medical report concerning Ms McAliskey, who did not appear in court due to continued ill-health. Further medical and psychiatric reports are likely to be prepared at the court's request.

However, turning down an application for bail, Mr Bartle remanded Ms McAliskey until August 5th and upheld the condition of her remand that she reside at the Maudsley Psychiatric Hospital.

Ms McAliskey, who is wanted by the German authorities in connection with the bombing of a British army base, has been under the care of Maudsley Hospital since giving birth to her daughter Loinnir in May. She is understood to be suffering from depression and ill-health following the birth.
