A 29-year-old man is due in court today in connection with the fatal stabbing of 57-year-old John Waters in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Mr Waters' body was found in his flat at Oliver Bond House, off Thomas Street.

A post mortem carried out by the deputy State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, confirmed Mr Waters died of stab wounds.

A man has been charged with the manslaughter of Mr Waters and will appear before Dublin District Court at 10.30am this morning.
