A man has been arrested after a woman was stabbed to death in north Dublin last night.
The 25-year-old woman was fatally injured at a property in Allendale Glen, Ongar last night. A male relative of the woman was injured in the same incident, which happened at around 8.40pm.
Gardaí investigating the incident arrested a man in his 30s this evening in the Dublin area, and are detaining him at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
Gardaí said they received the report of the incident at 8.53pm and when they arrived at the scene they found an injured man. He was taken to the Connolly hospital where his injuries were today described as not life threatening.
At 9.01pm the female victim was left at the A and E of the hospital. She was pronounced dead at 10.30pm.
