Man for court over Dublin fire

A man will appear in court today in connection with a fire at a pub in Dublin early on Thursday morning.

A man will appear in court today in connection with a fire at a pub in Dublin early on Thursday morning.

Gardai were called to a fire at the Tap public house at the junction of Church Street and North King Street shortly before 5am on February 18th. Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene. No one was injured.

A 41-year-old man was arrested by gardaí from the Bridewell station on Thursday evening. He was held under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and later charged, a Garda statement said.

He will be brought before Dublin District Court in Parkgate Street this morning.
