A Dublin man who is serving three 10-year sentences has pleaded guilty to bank, supermarket and petrol station robberies in a crime rampage over six counties. Christopher Gilroy (27), of Blessington Street, Dublin, pleaded guilty to six counts of robbery and one of aggravated robbery in 1998 and 1999.

Gilroy was on bail when he committed these crimes in which more than £32,000 was taken. He was remanded in custody at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court by Judge Frank O'Donnell until March 30th.
