Gardaí are continuing to question a 36-year-old man in relation to the seizure of three handguns and a quantity of “drug mixing paraphernalia” at a premises in Dublin.
The man was arrested last night and is currently being held at Kevin St Garda Station under the provisions of Section Twoof the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Detectives from the Garda National Drugs Unit and the Organised Crime Unit, supported by members of the local Kevin Street drug unit, carried out the raid in Dolphin's Barn last night.
A Garda spokesman said a large quantity of what is thought to be mixing agent was recovered, along with equipment associated with drug production.
More than 1,000 tablets, believed to be ecstasy with an estimated street value of €5,000, were also seized.
