Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia said yesterday it would have to destroy more than a million pigs, three times the number previously planned, to control the outbreak of a pig-borne virus which has killed 63 people.
A national task force fighting the outbreak of Japanese encephalitis said it would destroy an additional 700,000 to 800,000 pigs from an earlier target of 350,000.
