Kuwait - A Kuwaiti court yesterday sentenced the editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper Al-Qabas to six months in prison and ordered the paper closed for printing a caricature deemed to be blasphemous.
The caricature at the centre of the case portrayed God as having banished Adam and Eve from Eden for failing to pay the rent, journalists said.
