Potosi - Jerome Mallett, who killed a Missouri state trooper during a traffic stop in 1985, was executed early yesterday. Mallett (42) was pronounced dead at 12:06 a.m. after receiving a lethal injection of drugs.
Mallett claimed he shot Missouri state highway patrolman James Froemsdorf in self-defence. A series of last-minute appeals failed.
