Beirut - The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mr Kamal Kharazi, is to arrive in Beirut today for talks with Lebanese leaders, officials said yesterday. Mr Kharazi will meet President Emile Lahoud, the parliamentary speaker, Mr Nabih Berri, and Prime Minister Salim Hoss, a member of Mr Hoss's office said.

He may also hold talks with the head of the Hizbullah movement, Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, according to reports which could not be immediately confirmed.

Iran's ambassador in Beirut, Mr Mohammad Ali Sobhani, was the first foreign envoy yesterday to visit Mr Hoss to congratulate him on the end of the 22-year Israeli occupation.
