Stuttgart - Leaders of Germany's Greens appealed to their grassroots followers yesterday not to disrupt atomic waste shipments. They made their appeal at a party congress as police said metal hooks had been placed overnight on railway power lines in north and east Germany in an apparent effort to disrupt traffic around nuclear storage facilities.
