A Garda Representative Association conference is to discuss proposed Government legislation on the Garda tomorrow. The law would give the Minister for Justice the power to dissolve any Garda staff association which breaks the guidelines.
The GRA will also discuss proposed changes in its management and constitution.
Mr Chris Finnegan of the Garda Federation, which broke from the GRA two years ago, denied reports that the federation was split, saying there was "unanimity" among its executive.
