The post-mortem of two people who died in a fire in Dublin this morning is being carried out by the Deputy State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy at the city morgue this afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the Garda Siochana said that neither the identity, nor the nationality of the two victims is known, but that the fire was being treated as suspicious.
It has emerged that the smell of petrol could be detected at the scene and that a gun was discovered.
The two bodies which were discovered at a flat above a shop on the South Circular Road in Dolphin's Barn just after 5.20 a.m.
