Gardai in Dublin are investigating an attempted armed robbery last night.
Six or seven men wearing balaclavas entered Dunnes Stores in Kilnamanagh at about 10.30pm last night carrying baseball bats and an imitation firearm.
They did not escape with any cash and staff and customers in the shop at the time were not hurt, a Garda spokesman said.
