Gardai appeal for witnesses to fatal accident in Clonsilla

A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed when the motorcycle he was driving struck a lamp post at the junction of Hartstown Road/Inglewood Road, Clonsilla, at around 1.30 a.m yesterday morning.

The dead man was named as Mr Paul Boyd, of Fairlawn Road, Finglas.

Lucan gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward. Mr Boyd was the 46th motor- cyclist to be killed on the Republic's roads this year. A total of 269 people have died on the State's roads so far in 2003.
