Renewed violence broke out in east Belfast overnight when nationalist and loyalist crowds threw missiles at each other across the sectarian interface.
There were stones thrown in Madrid Street before security forces moved in.
There was later stone attacks on homes in Strand Walk in the Short Strand and further incidents in the Clandeboye Gardens area of the city.
