French unemployment in February was unchanged at nine per cent of the active population, but the number of job seekers rose 0.2 per cent from the previous month, data from the labour ministry showed today.
The number of job seekers rose in February by 5,400 to 2,214,400.
The labour ministry said that the unemployment trend was flat for the past three months amid signs of economic recovery in France and abroad.
