Madrid - Spanish authorities evacuated an old people's home and a campsite yesterday as strong winds and hot weather fanned the flames of a forest fire that has already destroyed 300 hectares.
Firefighters have been tackling the blaze since late on Saturday near the village of Denia, on the fringes of a national park on the coast around 80 km north of Alicante.
