At least four children and an adult in the North were last night receiving treatment for meningitis. A 12-year-old child from Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, and a 21-year-old woman from Armagh were being treated for meningococcal septicaemia. Three other children from Co Antrim were also receiving hospital treatment.
