The European Parliament President, Mr Jose Maria GilRobles, is visiting Northern Ireland to study at first hand political and cross-community developments.
Mr Gil-Robles was briefed on the peace process by the Northern political development minister, Mr Paul Murphy, at Stormont, and also met church leaders yesterday. Before concluding his two-day visit today, he will meet the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Mr Alban Maginness of the SDLP, as well as crosscommunity bodies and victims of violence.
