Therapy through ethnic dancing

If you feel like letting your hair down, a Dynamic Dance weekend to be held on June 16th to 18th might be of interest. The location is the Crysallis holistic centre at Donard, Co Wicklow, and participants will be led in Celtic, African and Arabic dance patterns, with drumming, singing and meditation included to help create a sense of balance and wellbeing.

Later in June the centre will host Alexander Technique teacher, Richard Brennan, who will run a five-day workshop on the technique for those interested in improving their posture and body co-ordination. The technique can be helpful for those suffering from conditions such as backache, migraine and stress. It is a very gentle, non-invasive technique which benefits students by helping them to free the physical and mental tensions that accumulate and are held in the body over many years. The workshop will take place from June 25th to 30th. For information on either course, contact the centre at (045) 404 713.
