My Left Foot, the film which tells the story of Christy Brown (played by Daniel Day Lewis) will be shown tomorrow and Thursday in the Irish Film Centre, Eustace Street, Dublin as part of the fiieducation (Film Institute of Ireland) screenings. My Left Foot is a text on the revised Leaving Certificate English course. This week's screenings (both of which begin at 10.30 a.m.) mark the beginning of an extensive tour of the film, set for this term and next term. A study guide for teachers will be available from fiieducation soon. Tickets cost £2 for students - teachers get in free. Booking is essential and the number to ring is (01) 679 5744.
