Richard Dunne is to remain at Maine Road with Manchester City despite Kevin Keegan hinting earlier in the week that he may be on his way out of the club following what City dubbed `a serious breach of club discipline.¿
Dunne and his advisors held talks with the Manchester City board, Kevin Keegan and PFA chief Gordon Taylor in which it was agreed that the player would be fined two weeks wages and placed on a special training programme.
A club statement read: "Richard Dunne has accepted the seriousness of his situation having had similar disciplinary problems in the past."
"The PFA will now work together with Manchester City Football Club to assist Richard Dunne during this training period and to help him work towards achieving the goals he has set himself."
