Dunblane - The aftermath of Dunblane yesterday reached a new turning point when the completion of a £2.1 million refurbishment programme, ordered after the schoolroom massacre, was formally marked.
The Scottish Secretary, Mr Donald Dewar, unveiled a plaque at the school where 16 children and their teacher were slaughtered two years ago by Thomas Hamilton. The plaque contains no mention of the massacre.
