Academic staff at the Dublin Institute of Technology have withdrawn their threat to withhold examination results from students following discussions at the Labour Relations Commission yesterday. The staff were protesting at the failure of the institute to make a small number of long-service temporary staff permanent. Agreement has now been reached on a process for making those concerned permanent.
