Police were today hunting two robbers who pinned down a woman confined to a wheelchair during a raid on her home in Co Down.

Police were today hunting two robbers who pinned down a woman confined to a wheelchair during a raid on her home in Co Down.

The men confronted the 59-year-old woman at the house on Stricklands Bay, Bangor just before 9pm last night.

A police spokesman said one held the woman down while the other searched her home.

They escaped with cash and a handbag which was later recovered by police.

Examinations were being carried out on it as part of the investigation.

Police said the woman was not physically hurt but left badly shaken by her ordeal.
