Danish Crown Prince Frederik, heir to Denmark's throne, will marry Australian-born Ms Mary Elizabeth Donaldson, the royal palace said in a statement today.
Denmark's Queen Margrethe will next month officially approve the marriage between the 35-year old Frederik and law graduate Ms Donaldson.
Former real estate agent Donaldson, 31, is from the island state of Tasmania. Her mother died at a young age and her father, a university mathematician, later remarried author Susan Moody.
