Three people have been banned by a judge from entering two counties for the next three years.
The ban was imposed yesterday when the three, who come from Romania, appeared on theft charges at a court in Arklow, Co Wicklow.
Sena Kvec, Lower Hatch Street, Dublin; Stella Kvec, Fernwood Park, Tallaght, Co Dublin and Vandana Harna, Old Bawn Drive, Tallaght, were also fined €50 each on charges of theft of baby clothes from Lidl supermarket, Wexford Road, Arklow, on July 1st.
Declaring that the shopkeepers needed to be protected, Judge Donnchadh Ó Buachalla made an order that the three defendants were to stay out of Wicklow and Wexford for the next three years.
The court heard that all three defendants were married. Harna and Stella Kvec both have three children each, and Sena Kvec has two children.
Solicitor David Tarrant said the irony was that when arrested they paid €100 in to the gardaí even though the total worth of the baby clothes taken was €95.
Harna had a number of previous convictions, including serving a short sentence, and Stella Kvec had one previous conviction.
