Steph Nel has made six changes to his high-flying Connacht side after the province came back down to earth with a bump against Pontypridd last weekend.

Connacht, previously undefeated in the competition, suffered a 40-0 Celtic League whitewash at the Sportsground and Nel has chopped and changed his personnel for Saturday's trip to Mont de Marsan in France for the first leg of their Parker Pen Challenge Cup tie.

In the back-line, there are recalls for full-back Gavin Duffy, wing James Norton and Darren Yapp in the centre. In the pack, the injured Warick Waugh is replaced by Damien Browne while front-row Peter Bracken and flanker Johnny O'Connor are also selected.

Connacht: Gavin Duffy; James Norton, Darren Yapp, Shane Moore (capt.), Wayne Munn; Eric Elwood, Eoin Reddan; Ronan McCormack, Marnus Uijs, Peter Bracken; Damien Browne, Rowan Frost; Colm Rigney, Johnny O'Connor, John O'Sullivan.

  • Replacements to be named on Friday afternoon after training session in Mont de Marsan.
