A 32-year-old Dublin man was arrested and cocaine worth about £80,000 seized when gardai raided a house in Ratoath, Co Meath early yesterday morning.

Members of the Garda National Drugs Unit and gardai from Ashbourne also found £23,000 in cash. It is understood the man was living with his partner and child and had moved there from Dublin recently. He was detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, which allows for a person to be detained for up to seven days. Gardai suspect the cocaine was destined for Dublin and Cork.
