British and Irish Lions flanker Colin Charvis was today suspended for two matches for kneeing an opponent in the Lions' 29-13 win over Australia in the first test on Saturday.

Charvis was found guilty of kneeing Wallabies prop Nick Stiles in the ribs as he lay on the ground near a ruck.

The Welshman, a second-half substitute, is now ruled out of the tourists' midweek match against Super 12 champions the ACT Brumbies in Canberra on Tuesday and next Saturday's second test in Melbourne.
