A Cork man was yesterday remanded in custody after being charged with the murder of a father of one who died after a stabbing incident in the city last year. Mr Laurence O'Sullivan (33), of Clashduv Road, Togher, was charged at Cork District Court with murdering Alan Kelleher (28) at Clashduv Road, Togher, on November 18th last. On November 24th last, Mr O'Sullivan was charged with the manslaughter of Mr Kelleher. He was initially remanded in custody but later obtained bail in the High Court and was released. Gardai offered no evidence on the manslaughter charge against Mr O'Sullivan on the DPP's instructions and Judge Mac Gruairc struck out that charge. He remanded the accused in custody until May 3rd.
