A British woman accused of killing three of her babies has been found not guilty by a jury in Reading, England.

Ms Trupti Patel (35), a qualified pharmacist, was accused of killing sons Amar and Jamie, and daughter Mia - none of whom survived beyond the age of three months.

All three children collapsed suddenly at the family home in Maidenhead, Berkshire, in separate incidents between 1997 and 2001.

The jury of 10 men and one woman at Reading Crown Court was asked to consider three different verdicts on each of the three counts - guilty, not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter or not guilty.
