Geneva - A Swiss balloonist and his British co-pilot were close to completing a smooth passage over China yesterday and prepared to face the Pacific in the next big test in their attempt to fly round the world.
Swiss psychiatrist, Mr Bertrand Piccard, and Mr Brian Jones set off from Switzerland in their Breitling Orbiter 3 craft nine days ago to try to be the first people to fly a balloon round the world.
