One thousand years of Irish coinage are marked by An Post's new 32p stamp, which shows King Sihtric's silver penny, first minted in Dublin in 997 AD. A limited edition of sterling silver and cupronickel replica souvenir coins, at £25 and £6 respectively, and first day covers containing replica coins at £4.95, are available at the GPO in Dublin and main post offices.
