Three young men charged in connection with an air-hose attack on a young man at a west Cork sawmill had a book of evidence served on them yesterday when they appeared at Bandon District Court.
Mr Declan O'Connell (18), Mr Rohan Mukerjee (17) and Mr Colm O'Driscoll (22), all from Ballineen, Co Cork, are all charged with assaulting Mr Bernard O'Donovan (19).
The three men are all alleged by the State to have assaulted Mr O'Donovan at Graingers Sawmills at Ennis keane in west Cork on August 5th, 1999. All three are denying the charge.
Defence solicitors for the three men sought an adjournment of the case to allow for submissions on the book of evidence.
Judge James O'Connor granted the application and remanded all three on their own bail of £90 each to appear in court again on June 16th.
