More than 100 workers at a leading Shannon Industrial Estate multinational company in Co Clare have taken voluntary redundancy. Molex employed more than 600 people between its manufacturing plants at Shannon and Mill street, Co Cork. The company manufactures electrical and electronic components for the telecoms industry.
Teles Ireland, also based at Shannon, is moving its operation to Berlin, leading to the loss of 24 jobs.
