A seven year old girl who tripped on unravelled mesh wire at the base of a kerbside tree and lost a front tooth has been awarded £10,000 against South Dublin County Council.

Ms Helen Bradford, counsel for Denise Baitson, now aged 10, of Greenfort Lawns, Quarryvale, Clondalkin, said the wire mesh had not been properly secured at the base of the tree.
