IT'S A FREE WORLD:MORE THAN 30 hotels in New York are offering freebies until the end of September to celebrate the third annual Fashion's Night Out on September 8th, an initiative to boost the fashion and retail industry.
As well as complimentary cocktails, there will be free dinners, continental breakfasts, spa treatments, access to style consultants, shopping discounts and more. Fashion’s Night Out will see hundreds of retailers host in-store celebrations that include designer appearances, celebrity guests, fashion shows, musical performances and more.
The initiative is being promoted by NYC & Company, New York City’s marketing, tourism and partnership organisation. Hotels participating in this year celebration include 6 Columbus, a Thompson Hotel; The Gem Hotel SoHo; Loews Regency Hotel; Hilton New York Fashion District; The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park; Trump SoHo New York and the Westin New York at Times Square.
In the InterContinental New York Times Square treats include an in-room, one-hour blow dry with personal hair stylist and pre-outing cocktails in Ça Va Brasserie while at the Omni Berkshire Place Hotel there are two tickets to a fashion show and after-party by designer Rachael Cassar and VIP access to 48 Lounge and two complimentary cocktails as well as a bottle of champagne upon arrival in your room.
Catch:prices per night in some of these hotels are not cheap. For example at the Intercontinental New York Times Square, on September 8th a king bed deluxe room costs $1,293 (€895) a night while in the Loews Regency Park hotel, the overnight packages costs from $639 (€442).

AS THE NEW SOCCERseason kicks off, Thomas Cook Sport, the official ticket supplier in Ireland to 10 top clubs, is offering free stadium tours, club museum tours and match programmes along with Premier League Match breaks. One night's stay to see Chelsea vs Liverpool on November 20th costs €179 pps. Arsenal vs Spurs on February 25th costs €289 each for a night's stay. Some packages also include discount vouchers for club stores.

THE AWARD-WINNINGLinthwaite House Hotel in England's Lake District has a special autumn offer of three nights for the price of two.
Set within 14 acres of wooded hilltop gardens, 400 feet above Lake Windermere, Linthwaite has prices starting from £161 (€182) per person per night on a dinner, room and breakfast basis. The offer is valid until October 28th and is subject to availability.
Catch:the standard room is £161 (€182) per person per night but if you want to go for the luxury lake view, it's €256 (€290) each per night.
